![]() I had to commit to this lifestyle change and it feels like my whole world has turned upside down.Īny advice or experience storys would be greatley appreciated. But I truly did love smoking it until it had become a problem. ![]() I just feel fed up and can't see this improving, there's no way I can go back to weed either because of my living arrangments and the ammount of money I was spending on it. Everyday I wake up wishing I hadn't, my social life used to be immense and now I feel like a nobody who spends everyday off on his own in his room because I either have nothing else to do or am to anxious to go out and do anything on my own. I havn't had a girlfriend for just over a year and everytime I meet someone now I probably come across as needy because my social life is shot to shit. The only mates I have now are the people I work with whom I only occassionally socialise with outside of work, mainly because most of them are older or married. I cut off all my friends who smoke and that literally is all my friends. My youtube channel which has millions of views on hasn't had an upload since october because I feel so incapable to create anything now. I have lost my passion to live and don't really enjoy anything anymore. Quit weed around 5-6 months ago and I still feel really depressed. I'm afraid we just don't have time to review them as part of the modding process. This include your own quitting or vlog videos. The only thing we want to hear about is you, and on that topic you're the world's foremost expert. Outside resources can be informative or inspiring, but it's better to talk about your personal experience and inspiration in your own words. ![]() We only allow text posts, and recommendations of resources outside the group will most likely be removed. There are medications that can help mitigate the effects of quitting or conditions that might have contributed to addiction, but you should get those from a doctor, not an Internet chat group. Posts discussing or advocating weed substitutes, CBD, or any remedies other than mutual support and the sharing of our experience. This subreddit is for people who have decided to quit for good, not for people who will resume or continue. Posts in which the sole subject is tolerance breaks or moderation management. Posts regarding strategies, wait times, products or anything related to drug testing or "detoxing." There are lots of thoughts on legalization and plenty of places to debate them, but they are a distraction from the mission of this subreddit which is to help people stop smoking.īadges: We get occasional requests for badges - please see this post: If your post doesn't have "I" or "me" in it you should question whether you're describing your own experience or just talking about others.Īlso, this is a politics-free zone. You're welcome to talk about bad experiences, but they have to be yours, not other people's, society's, or general anti-smoking opinion. If your problem is with other people, other smokers, or cannabis in general then keep it about how that affect you. Keep it About You: This group is pot-positive and we have no problems with weed other than the fact that it isn't right for us, so we keep this a selfish place. Remember that you're here to actively inspire people toward success, yourself included. If someone is breaking this rule, please use the report button and we'll sort it out. Even (and maybe especially) people that aren't being kind to us. Please note: Our first and most important rule is that we be kind, courteous, and supportive with each other. If you're looking for meetings or additional help try Marijuana Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, or SMART Recovery. The only requirement for being here is that you have decided it's time to quit for good. ![]() This subreddit is for practical discussions about how to stop smoking if you've decided to and support in staying stopped from your fellow leaves. Not being able to stop smoking weed even when you want to? Bad. People smoking weed when they want without recrimination? Good.
